Starting in May of 2012 San Francisco San Francisco became the first city in the nation to change the distribution of phonebooks from opt-out to opt-in, which means you'll only get one if you ask for it. I don't know about you but I'm stoked. No more phonebooks showing up at my doorstep just to get tossed into the recycle bin. And I'm diggin' all the cool creations that people have come up with to use phonebooks in a new way. Check 'em out...
